1. Allow time to get to your destination.

2. Clear off your car!

3. Don't use cruise control.

4. Wear seatbelts.

5. Slow down for ice, snow, low visibility.

6. Stay a safe distance behind other vehicles, it will take you more distance to stop.

7. Watch for ice on bridges and in shady spots.

8. Don't pass snow plows unless absolutely necessary.

9. Prepare your vehicle for winter driving. Make sure it is in good condition. Tires are key, have good tires and snow or studded tires if necessary. Don't wait till it is too late to get your snow or studded tires put on.

10. Have an emergency kit and supplies in you vehicle when traveling.
